Yea, we’re all fun and games usually, but behind all the laughter and words lies something that could almost be described as “corporate”. It takes a lot of work to run our channel, and not just in video production and working social media. In order to get views, we need to define who we are. What our message is. Who we want to reach. And we need to keep refining these questions as we evolve.

Who is our Target Audience?

We’d like to think “everyone”, but honestly that’s a stretch. We are targeting individuals and couples between the ages of 40-70 who want more out of life than just keeping the five bedroom house clean, waiting for the grandchildren to visit. We are targeting those who want to explore, experience, and learn in their second half of life.

What is our Mission Statement?

Enable compassion, knowledge, and exploration through exposure to cultures, peoples, and places.

What is our Tagline?

“Be a Pirate. Go Wander”.

What are our Products, Services, and Offerings?

We don’t really offer physical products. We do have a book titled Letters To A Dead Uncle, which is available through Amazon Publishing, but that’s not what the channel is all about. It’s just a byproduct of our adventures. And we really don’t offer services, except for entertainment and knowledge videos for those “of a certain age” to watch as they plan their own future experiences.

So the bottom line is that we are not a company trying to sell “something”, rather we’re “in the business” of inspiring and sharing.

Why would People come to us?

The initial impetus for many who are planning a trip or living a lifestyle is to seek out information from those that have already experienced it. From the simple needs of a tourist to those of an adventurous traveler. Or of those who dared to want more. Right now, that is our main reason for drawing attention. Being a destination to learn from our experiences, mistakes, and successes. From one member of a certain age group to another.

But The Pirate Wanderer is an onion, in a way. The above statement is just the outside layer. We also draw people who are looking for a deeper meaning to travel, including volunteerism, culture exchange, and conservation. Those who are open to learning more about the world we live in, and our collective roles in it.

What is our Logo and Style?

Our style? Casual would be a fair description. Extremely casual. Think of wearing shorts and flip-flops to a board meeting kind of casual. We don’t believe that the world is that serious of a place, so our offerings and style represent a view based on excitement and entertainment, rather than rules.

Our logo? Look up. Just two drops in a very large ocean.

What is our Policy for Sponsors and Advertising?

Well, since we don’t have either yet, it’s pretty simple to ride on a high horse. We are completely open to the concept, especially if it gives us the opportunity to expand our “mission”. But any other entity or person we associate with must share our compassion for a safer and more loving world. They must be good stewards of our planet. And they must put humans before greed.
